Mixed, Unstable or Unclear Ideology – MUU

Participants on this course will be provided with a thorough and highly up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Mixed, Unstable and Unclear ideology (MUU) .

The course will cover the following areas :

  • The overlapping complexities of  MUU.
  • The online contemporary subcultures of incels, conspiracy theories and mass casualty attacks.
  • The links between potential ideology and grievance for each of these online subcultures.
  • The typical radicalisation pathway for individuals and the ‘pull-factors’ for each scene.
  • Potential indicators for MUU radicalisation to help assist with the assessment of individuals.
  • How the online MUU scene can overlap with more conventional areas of radicalisation (i.e., extreme-right wing).
  • The different indicators of concern around MUU and the online platforms that are currently being used.
