This training session is designed to raise awareness of far-right and extreme right-wing radicalisation.

When you participate in this course, you will gain a thorough and highly up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the following areas :

Current radicalisation patterns and the local and international links within the contemporary far-right and extreme right-wing scene.

The interplay between conspiracy theories, fake news and how ‘culture wars’ are being exploited to generate division.

The online radicalisation process and how extremist influencers are using social media, the deep-web and gaming platforms to radicalise.

An overview of how the platforms and messaging apps on the surface web and deep-web are used for radicalisation.

The contemporary ideological features within the far-right and extreme right-wing scenes.

Typical radicalisation journeys will be explored. Participants will gain awareness of how this radicalisation can lead to hate crime and terrorist offences being committed.
